Description

Factory Cottage is a building from the 17th and 18th centuries, standing three storeys tall with one window on the front. The west side features a tall gable that is half-hipped, with tile-hung walls extending to the top of the ground floor window. The east side has a half gable with an exposed timber frame. The roof is covered with red tiles. The frame is filled with red brickwork, while the rest of the building is painted brick, with slate-hanging at the rear above the outshots. The windows are old casements, one of which has metal lights. On the west side, there is a small 18th-century bag on brackets. The entrance has a plain door.
