Description

Nos 1 and 3 on West Street are 18th century to early 19th century buildings that were later refronted in the 19th century. They are constructed of painted brick, topped with a coped parapet and an old tiled roof. The buildings are two storeys high and feature five windows with unbarred sashes. The shop fronts have been modernized and altered in the 19th century. These buildings are included for their group value, as they form a cohesive group with Nos 6, 8, and Nos 22 and 24, along with other buildings of local interest in the area.
