Description
No. 5 West Street is an early 19th-century building with a rendered facade featuring a band at the second-floor sill and below the cornice, topped with a parapet. It is a double pile house with three storeys. The first floor has two unbarred sash windows with labels, while the second floor has modern glazing in the same window spaces. The ground floor has altered 19th-century shop fronts. This building is part of a group that includes Nos 1 to 29 (odd) and Nos 6, 8, 22, and 24, with Nos 9 to 13 (odd) and Nos 17 to 25 (odd) recognized as buildings of local interest.
