Description

Nos 41 and 43 on South Street are a building from the 18th century, with a possible earlier core. The facade features grey headers with red brick window dressings and quoins, topped by an old tiled roof. The building is two storeys high with an attic in the gable end. It has two casement windows on the first floor, while the ground floor has sash windows with boxed frames and glazing bars. There is an off-centre doorway with a moulded architrave and a six-panelled door, of which the top two panels are now glazed. Nos 41 to 45 form a group with Nos 40 to 46 and Nos 2 to 6 on Castle Street, Titchfield, with the latter being buildings of local interest.
