Description

Fisherman’s Cottage is a 17th-century and later L-shaped building located at Lower Quay, Fareham. The north-west corner is timber framed and now plastered and colourwashed. The remainder of the building is of brick, although it may incorporate an earlier core. The cottage has two gables facing each facade and a tiled roof, with a window in the gable. It has sash windows with glazing bars. The building is considered picturesque. It forms part of a group of listed buildings along Lower Quay, which are largely visible from the approach from the town centre via the Railway Viaduct across Quay Street.
