Description

The lychgate at the entrance to St Mary's Churchyard in Portchester was built in 1897 to commemorate Queen Victoria's Diamond Jubilee. It is made of wood and features a gabled tiled roof. The entrance is arched and has a cornice above, with arched side panels. This lychgate is part of a group that includes Portchester Castle, St Mary's Church, the churchyard walls, and a lamp in the churchyard.
