Description

Shamblehurst Farmhouse is a two-storey house dating from the 17th and 19th centuries. It features timber-framing that is jettied on the first floor, while the ground floor has painted brickwork. The windows are adorned with 19th-century Jacobean hoods and there is a plinth. The farmhouse has a massive, steep red tile roof with a banded pattern and hips, supported by large stacks with two and four diagonal flues on square weathered bases. The windows are casements with diamond-lozenge leaded lights.
