Description
The Prince Consort Public House, dating to circa 1890, is a two-storey building with a symmetrical facade of 2.2.2 windows on the first floor. The central section features a pediment with a cornice, modillions, a plain frieze, and an architrave, all supported by Corinthian pilasters; the entablature extends along the eaves and returns at the corner of the wings. The building is constructed of red brick walling with a first-floor band and a stuccoed plinth. The ground floor of each wing contains triple windows set within an ornamental frame. Centrally, there is a bay window between doors, all beneath a large curved canopy with wrought iron brackets both above and below. A plaque displaying the Royal coat of arms is located in the centre of the first floor. An ornamental wrought iron bracket supports the sign on the western corner. Sash windows are present throughout, and the building has sash windows.
