Description

Manor Cottage, Jasmine Cottage, and West Cottage are a group of small 18th century cottages located on the west side of Hamble Green Lane. These two-storey cottages feature irregular facades, with the upper floor illuminated by dormers that have cills aligned with the eaves, extending to the first and part of the second floor. They are topped with red tile roofs, which are gabled and hipped, and set at slightly different heights, with lower eaves at part of the rear. The cottages have casement windows, and the dormers are gabled. Together, they create a strong vernacular character that enhances the group effect.
