Description

The Old House is a 17th-century building of two storeys and a basement, located on The Square in Hamble. It is constructed with exposed timber framing, which is bricknogged, and rests on a rubble stone base. A ground floor extension, built later, projects from the west side. The roof is tiled, with half-hipped ends; the west gable is tile-hung and features three gabled dormers along with one flat-roofed dormer. Casement windows are present throughout. A basement entrance faces Main Street, situated at a lower ground level.
