Description
Copperhill Terrace comprises Nos 1 to 5 (incorporating the former No 6) and Nos 7 and 8. The central section (Nos 3, 4, and 5) dates to the late 18th century and is taller than the flanking wings (Nos 1, 2, 7 and 8), which were added later. The central block has three bays per floor, while the wings each have one bay per floor, with the exception of the end units, which have two bays on the ground floor and one above. The central block is roofed with red tiles, while the wings have slate roofs. The terrace has brick walling in a Flemish bond pattern, with red stretchers and blue headers, featuring a flush blue band at the first-floor level of the central unit. The ground floor openings in the centre of the terrace are cambered, and sash windows are set in exposed frames. Each doorway originally had a simple canopy supported by brackets, although the doorway of the former No 6 is now blocked with red brick. The rear elevation of the central block has a low eaves height, with modern dormers and some single and two-storey rear extensions.
