Description
Chiltee Manor is a house that has been converted into offices. It dates from the early to mid-19th century and has undergone restoration in the 20th century. The front features rendered walls with a plain eaves fascia and plinth, while the rear walls are made of ironstone with brick flat and cambered arches. The roof is hipped and covered with slate.
The main block includes a significant rear extension from the mid-19th century, along with a lower service wing on the east side and three additional storeys added to the rear. The north front is symmetrical, consisting of two storeys and three windows, with a low two-storey service wing on the east side. The windows are sashes set in reveals. There is a porch with three steps, featuring a reeded architrave and a six-panelled door, along with a large mid-19th century open porch supported by coupled columns in the Ionic Order.
At the rear, there are two unequal two-storeyed bays with a window arrangement of three, two, three, and one, all with sashes in reveals, and a 20th-century glazed porch. Inside, the manor retains an original plain staircase, some panelled doors within architraves, and plaster ceiling cornices.
