Description
Ship House, formerly the Old Ship Inn, is a building that now serves as a bank and offices. It dates from the early 19th century and early 20th century. The exterior features rendered walls, a plinth, and stone cills, topped by a low-pitched hipped roof covered with tiles. The building has a symmetrical design on its two main facades. The north front displays three widely spaced windows with a slightly projecting center, featuring sashes set in reveals. The west side has three sashes within a classical framework from the 20th century and a plain doorway within a classical half-glazed porch. The west elevation is similar, also featuring a central half-glazed porch from the 20th century, which includes a side doorway. The rear of the building is irregular, with some sections of stone walling and mostly sash windows.
