Description
Nos 10 and 12 The Square are houses that have been converted into one office. They date from the 16th century, with early 19th century and 20th century alterations. The buildings have roughcast walls, and the upper floor of No 10 is tile-hung. The roof is tiled, featuring a gable at the front of No 10 and three gabled half-dormers on No 12. The west front is one storey and attic, with two storeys and three windows. The windows are casements, and the ground floor has 20th century shopfronts. The late-medieval timber-framed hall in No 12 has a two-storeyed jettied cross-wing in No 10, which is obscured by later additions.
