Description

Alton House Hotel is an early 19th-century building of two storeys and three bays, located on Normandy Street. The building is constructed of colour-washed stucco with a slate hipped roof. The ground floor features a plain central door, and a large bow window is situated on either side. These windows are sheltered by a flat veranda supported on four slender columns. The first floor has sash windows. Deep eaves are punctuated by pairs of brackets above the windows and at the corners.
