SU 74 SE FROYLE UPPER FROYLE

5/70 Stable and Malthouses, 10 metres east of the Manor House.

GV II

Store. Early and mid C19. Brick walls and tile roof. The south west elevation is the original stable and coachhouse buildings, with a symmetrical front of 2 storeys, with a projecting centrepiece having a carriage entrance flanked by windows (now filled) and 3 upper windows (the centre an oval light), and on each side 1 upper window and a series of (now filled) ground floor openings. Hipped roof, brick dentil eaves; walls of Flemish bond, 1st floor band, cambered arches, plinth. Casements. To the rear there are 3 2-storeyed units (2 attached) comprising oasts with lower wings; tall hipped roof to the oasts. ½-hipped to the wings; brick walls in English bond, cambered openings, plinth.
