Description
Wield Manor is a house built in the mid-18th century, with rear extensions added in the late 19th century. The structure is made of brick and tile, featuring a symmetrical front facing south with two storeys and an attic, comprising five windows. It has a plain roof and walls constructed in Flemish bond, with a band at the first floor, rubbed flat arches over the ground floor windows, and a high plinth that has been cemented over. The windows are sashes set in exposed frames. There is an early 19th-century stucco porch that has a plain cornice supported by coupled brackets above corner pilasters, a concave leaded roof, and double half-glazed doors. The end walls are built in Flemish bond, while the rebuilt gables are in English bond, and the rear walls are also in English bond, featuring mainly Victorian sash windows.
