Description
Vyne Farmhouse is a building from the 18th century with early 19th-century additions. It is two storeys high and features an older structure with extensions in a 'Tudor' style that is consistent with other buildings on the estate. The front, facing west, has two gables located to the east of two windows, with a lower central section that has plain walling, a large chimney stack with three octagonal flues, and an angular Victorian bay window. The south side of the farmhouse extends as a plain block with two earlier windows. The roof is tiled, and there are brick dentil eaves and gable verges, along with a brick dentil band at the second floor that rises in the centre beneath the gables. The walls are made of red brick in Flemish bond, featuring a first-floor band, some rubbed flat arches, others cambered, a plinth, and stone cills. The windows include casements and Victorian sashes. Centrally located on the front is a castellated brick porch with arched side openings, a slate roof, and half-glazed double doors. There are later outshots at the rear of the building.
