Description

The gate-piers and rails date from the 18th century and are located at the south entrance, aligned with the axis of the Vyne. They feature a pair of wide piers made of white stone, which have levelled rustication, a plinth, and a cornice with pediments on both the front and rear. There are niche seats on the outer face of the piers. The entrance is completed with plain wrought-iron gates and flanking screens above a low brick wall, which ends in brick piers topped with moulded caps that support stone vases.
