Description
Christ Church is a small Victorian church built in 1867, which remains unaltered. It features a chancel, nave, south porch, and a slender tower attached to the south-west corner. The church has a tiled roof and walls made of flint with flush banding in red and black bricks, along with brick moulding at the plinth. The openings, which are set within stone surrounds, include single or coupled lancets, a triple lancet east window, and three separate lancets at the west. The tower is topped with a shingled spirelet above an octagonal open-framed belfry, and beneath this is a tiled broach roof. The tower's walling consists of three stages made of flint, with brick rustic quoins and a plinth band, as well as two stone weathered bands. The porch features a pointed stone arch that encloses a wrought-iron gate. Inside, the walls are made of red brick with some yellow banding, a tiled floor, a painted panel ceiling in the chancel, and period fittings.
