Description

Lower Mill dates from the late 18th century and early 19th century. It is a four-storey building with a five-bay facade. It has a half-hipped roof, with a gabled roof and side boarding to a hoist cover. The building is constructed of red brick in English bond, featuring cambered openings to small, two-light casement windows. There are two plain doorways, one centrally located on the earlier section of the building. A rectangular base of a chimney is attached to the south corner, and a single-storeyed narrow wing extends from the south side.
