Description

The forecourt screen at Hackwood Park, dating from the 18th century, is located to the north of the mansion and spans the entire width of the forecourt. It features a curving, symmetrically-arranged wrought iron design, with the central section extending outward to connect with the equestrian statue of George I. The screen includes scroll-panelled standards at regular intervals, which are elevated to a higher level to support lamp brackets near the two outer gateways.
