Description

This is an 18th-century urn on a pedestal, located at the junction of Cockpit Walk and Ashtons Walk in Hackwood Park (Spring Wood). The urn is of a simple classical design with bold ornamentation and is set on a square pedestal that features a moulded cornice and base. The pedestal dates from the 18th or 19th century and was placed in its current location in the mid to late 20th century by Lord Camrose. The urn has been re-used from the kitchen garden wall.
