Description

No. 2 Back Lane is a 17th and 18th century cottage that features a combination of timber framing and brick walls. It is a one-storey building with an attic and has an irregular arrangement of windows. The cottage has a thatched roof that slopes down to low eaves at the west end, with tiled sections around the gabled dormers. The exposed bricknogged frame is complemented by other walls constructed in Monk bond. The windows include old metal casements, while the dormer windows are modern. The entrance is a boarded door set in a solid frame.
