Description

Spinners is a 17th-century, two-storey timber-framed house located on Church Street in Upton Grey. It features three windows and has an old tiled roof with a half-hipped catslide at the rear. There is a shafted stack near the middle of the house and a large chimney breast at the southeast end. The upper walls are tile-hung, decorated with scalloped bands and a tilted base, while the ground floor mostly has an exposed frame with painted brick infill and other types of walling. The west wall has its frame fully exposed. The windows are square-leaded casements, and there is a boarded door set within a trellis porch. A lead 'Union' fire insurance sign is also present.
