Description

14 and 16 George Street are a symmetrical pair of two-storey buildings dating from 1821. They have a slate roof with brick dentil eaves. The facades are constructed of red brick in a Flemish bond pattern, with rubbed flat arches. The windows are sash windows set in reveals; the windows to No. 14 are original. Simple doorways are set below small hoods. A central stone plaque is inscribed with “J Roake 1821.”
