Description
Manor Farmhouse is a two-storey building dating from 1814, featuring a symmetrical facade on the east side and an attached part on the north side with two windows above one. The hipped tile roof complements the red brick walling, which is laid in Flemish bond with blue headers. The facade includes eaves brick moulding and fascia that merge with end pilasters, cambered openings, and a plinth. The windows are modern sashes with three lights. There is a half-glazed door beneath a modern canopy supported by slender pillars. Above the door, a stone plaque is inscribed with an oval that includes the wording "ANNO PACIFICO," the initials GPJ (for George Purefoy Jervoise), and the date 1814. The west elevation is also symmetrical, featuring three windows above two wide angular bays that are of recent date. In front of the house is a terrace that ends at the north with a modern square summerhouse topped with a tall convex roof. The house shares similar features with the Manor House on Church Lane in Preston Candover.
