Description
Tadley United Reform Church is a building that dates from the 18th century to the 20th century. The oldest and largest part of the church is a rectangular block featuring a half-hipped tile roof, brick and rendered walls, and windows with mullions and transoms. There is a plain modern gabled porch at the entrance. An extension built in 1828 has a slate roof and two arched windows, which, along with the original block, create a single interior space. Attached to the west end is a lower plain brick and tile structure that serves as a Sunday school, constructed in 1862. There are also some small later additions at the rear of the building. Inside, the church has a gallery with a panelled front that extends along three sides. This gallery was enlarged during the second construction phase when the intervening wall was removed, and the valley is now supported by two columns.
