Description
Turgis House is an early 19th-century building located in Stratfield Turgis. It features a symmetrical facade on the north side, consisting of two storeys and three windows, along with a low wing on the west side. The roof is hipped and has a low pitch, covered with slate. The walls are made of painted brick, showcasing rubbed flat arches, a first-floor band, and a plinth. The windows are sashes in exposed frames, with three lights on the ground floor of the east side, while the west side has a later rectangular bay of casements. The entrance includes a plain arched doorway with a fanlight above and a six-panelled door that is flush with the wall. The wing also has its own hipped slate roof. Next to the house is an oval-arched carriageway entrance, a plain central door, and a modern rectangular bay on the west side. There is a modern garage structure located beyond the house.
