Description
The Swan Hotel is an early 18th-century building with a symmetrical Queen Anne front facing west. It has two storeys and five windows. The roof is tiled with moulded eaves fillet. The walls are made of blue header brickwork, featuring red flush quoins and panels around the openings, with cambered rubbed arches on the ground floor. There is a plastered band on the first floor and a tarred cement plinth at the base. The windows are Victorian sashes in exposed frames. The doorway has a canopy supported by brackets and features modern double doors above stone steps. The rear of the building is older and includes some timber-framing. Attached to the south side is a modern wing of similar size, which has matching features and six windows.
