Description
The Church of St Thomas was built in 1849 by T H Wyatt and is designed in the Gothic style. It features a two-bay chancel and a nave with five bays, accompanied by a north aisle, a tower at the east end of the aisle, and a north porch. The church has a tile roof and is constructed from flint with stone dressings and stepped buttresses. Most of the windows are coupled lights with cusping beneath quatrefoils at the west end. The east end includes two lancets beneath a circular window and a traceried three-light window. Inside, the arcade has a unique pointed arch within a pointed arch, supported by cylindrical columns with moulded caps and bases. The church also contains contemporary fittings, including a circular font.
