Description
The County Primary School is a late 19th-century building designed in the Gothic style, with some subtle later additions. The front, facing west, features a gable on each side of a porch. The south side, which houses the master's house, projects forward and includes decorative bargeboards, coupled first-floor lights beneath an arched recess filled with scalloped tiles, and an angular bay on the ground floor. The north side gable, which serves as a classroom, has a cusped circular light situated above four lancet windows, all framed by an arch. The building is topped with red tile roofing that has scalloped bands, and the walls are constructed of flint with red brick dressings, including quoins, bands, a plinth, a buttress, and a pointed arch leading to the porch.
