Description

This is an early 19th-century house located on Church Road, Grayshott. Originally a symmetrical building of approximately three bays, it has since been extended to the west in a matching style. The roof is tiled, with hipped ends and brick dentil eaves. The most notable feature is the exterior, which combines flint walling with red brick banding and quoins to create a textured pattern, with cambered brick arches over the ground-floor windows. The windows are casements, with a modern French door also present. The front door is plain and sheltered by a gabled hood. Internally, the walls reveal a timber frame of a late form, and two fireplaces with cast-iron Adam detailing. A loose stone plaque bears the raised letters ‘H R M’ dated 1689.
