Description

The John Bassett Tomb, located 10 yards north of the chancel of the Church of St Dunstan, is a chest tomb dated 1806 and created by Jonathan Harmer. It is made of stone and features a base with a moulded plinth, reeded pilaster corners, and panelled sides. The tomb has a double hipped lid with a cornice and terracotta plaques of urns inset at both ends, which are somewhat damaged. The tomb is inscribed to John Bassett, who died in 1806.
