Description
The Shelley Arms Hotel is an 18th-century building that stands three storeys tall and features five windows. The exterior is constructed with grey headers and red brick dressings on a stone base. It has stuccoed string courses above the ground and first floors, and long and short quoins. The building is topped with an eaves cornice and a hipped tiled roof, and the glazing bars are intact. The doorway is framed by a stone architectural surround, which displays the arms of the Shelley family of Maresfield Park above it. The side walls are faced with ashlar.
