Description
This is a pair of semi-detached cottages located on Hartfield Road, Forest Row, dating from the early 19th century. The timber frame is faced with weatherboard and brick. The roofs are slate, hipped, with a valley containing two brick stacks, the stack on the right having been reduced in height. The cottages are arranged symmetrically with a double pile plan. The front elevation has two identical casement windows on each floor, each with two lights and 4x3 panes of glazing bars. There are four-panel doors located in side doorways, close to the street front, for each cottage. A brick first storey is present at the rear, with a framed second storey above. The interior has not been inspected.
