Description

Haystoun House is a house dating from circa 1860. It is three storeys high and originally comprised a main three-window portion and a two-storey, six-window wing to the east. The main portion is stuccoed with rusticated detailing to the ground floor and long-and-short quoins above. It features a heavy eaves bracket cornice and a hipped slate roof. The ground and first floors each have two large bays of three windows. A porch with coupled square and round columns and a parapet is situated between the bays. The recessed eastern wing has a recessed veranda with two columns. The building is of group value.
