Description

The building is an outbuilding located 10 metres east of the Priory in Warbleton, Rushlake Green. It is part of the former cellarage range of Warbleton Priory, which has since been adapted for agricultural and now domestic use. The structure features late medieval fabric with 20th-century details. It is constructed from sandstone rubble and has old tile roofs. The two-storey range includes one ground floor and three first floor 20th-century openings, along with a crudely chamfered doorway that has a post-medieval segmental head. There is a chamfered plinth, and the northeast gable has a single chamfered lancet. The building has a hipped roof.

At the southeast, there is a single-storey wing that retains an in situ chamfered 15th-century arched doorway with a two-centred design. At the rear, there is an oast addition with a 20th-century replacement gabled roof. The interior contains 20th-century details.

Additionally, the outbuilding has an oasthouse that was part of the medieval 15th-century structure on the west side of the Cloisters, likely associated with the cellarer's range. The building is made of stone, patched with red brick, and features a hipped tiled roof and casement windows. There are two blocked stone doorways on the west side, one pointed and one round-headed. On the south side, the date 1805 is noted where brickwork has been added, and an oasthouse constructed from medieval stone has been attached. Further east, there are ruins of a buttress that was part of the Frater, and to the north, the footings of the walls of the choir of the Priory Church can be found.
