Description
Trimmers is a house located in the grounds of Chelwood Vachery, to the north-east of the Training College in Chelwood Gate. Originally named Trimmer's Pond, this house is a 16th century timber-framed structure featuring plaster infilling and curved braces on the first floor, set on a stone base. It has a stone slate roof and casement windows with diamond-shaped panes, including one large window divided into four sections. The entrance features a pointed wooden doorway, and there is a stone chimney stack at the east end, with the upper portion made of red brick. The house has been relocated from another site and re-erected in its current position.
