Description
Pippingford is a building that now serves as offices, and it is all that remains of a large Gothic mansion designed by the French architect Hector Horeau, which was built in 1859. The mansion was L-shaped, and this structure is likely the north and service wing. It is constructed of sandstone. The northern part has two storeys and three windows. Adjacent to this is a porch featuring two storeys of large archways and a balcony at the first floor level. The section to the south has three storeys and one window bay, with the southern face splayed and containing three windows. A cornice and parapet sit above, topped with pinnacles. The building features modern plate glass glazing.
