Description

The Church of St Mary is a parish church built in a cruciform shape. The chancel, crossing, transepts, and nave were constructed between 1150 and 1180, with alterations made in the 15th century. The north and south aisles were added in the late 12th century, and the north and south chapels were built between 1220 and 1250. In the 15th century, flying buttresses were added to the southeast end of the chancel. The church features fine perpendicular windows at the east end of the chancel and the south chapel.
