Description

Caxton Cottage, Old Merriams, and Beech House is a single building that dates from the 17th century or earlier. It features a timber-framed structure that has been refaced with red brick and grey headers on the ground floor, while the upper part is roughcast with imitation timbering. The building has parapets at each end of the front and a steeply-pitched hipped tiled roof. It includes casement windows and doorways topped with pediments, leading to doors with six fielded panels. The building is two storeys high with an attic, featuring four windows and three dormers.
