Description
Wren Cottage is a house built in 1820, with later alterations in the 19th and 20th centuries. The exterior is roughcast and features a Welsh slate roof. The building is one storey high and has three bays, with the left bay possibly being a 19th-century addition. There is an added wing at the rear right. The front has three 16-pane sash windows and a boarded stable door located between the two on the right. A stack is positioned at the right end.
At the rear, the central bay contains a 12-pane sash window, while the right-hand bay, which is set back, has a 20th-century door and window. The left wing features a late 20th-century porch, which is not of special interest, along with a cambered-headed window and a hipped roof that has a stack in the right roof pitch. The left side of the cottage has a 16-pane sash window. This cottage was built for a retired army sergeant-major.
