Description

The Walled Garden at Newick Park is a Grade II listed structure that dates back to the 18th century. This former walled garden, which served as an independent nursery at the time of the survey, features a square design with gabled walls that slope down a south-facing hillside, maximizing sunlight exposure. The brick walls are notable for their unusual bond pattern, consisting of one row of stretchers followed by a row of alternate headers and stretchers. The walls stand approximately 12 feet high and include cambered central entrances. Additional architectural features include curved brick coping, corner piers with stone coping, and some brick buttresses.
