Description
Orchard Meadow is a dwelling dated 1724, located on Heighton Road in Denton. The building was refenestrated in the late 19th century, with the quoins recreated using cement and a porch added in the mid to late 20th century. It is constructed from knapped flint with brick dressings and cement-faced quoins, featuring a very steeply pitched tiled roof and brick stacks at the gable ends. The house is double fronted, consisting of two storeys and three bays, with the central bay blocked and a datestone inscribed "1724 F/ WE" inserted. The windows are fitted with 20th-century plastic leading to 2-light casements, and the ground floor has similar glazing. The porch has a central hipped tiled roof and a 20th-century plank and batten door with moulded cover strips and studs. The returns of the building are rendered in cement.
