Description

The Fishermen's Institute and Society is a mid-19th century stuccoed building located at 97 and 97A All Saints' Street. It has two storeys and a basement, measuring two bays wide. The building features an open pedimental gable that spans the entire structure, adorned with a moulded cornice and a panel inscribed with "Hastings Fishermen's Institute Established 1831." On the first floor, there are two large sash windows with side lights, which do not have glazing bars. The ground floor includes an entablature with a moulded cornice, two doorways that have rectangular fanlights, and a large-pane window situated between them. This building is part of a group of listed buildings along All Saints' Street.
