Description

This is a 15th-century timber-frame cottage located on All Saints’ Street. It has a close-set vertical studding and plaster panels, and was restored in 1928. The cottage has a tiled roof with gable ends. It is two storeys high with an attic. The first floor overhangs approximately 2 feet, supported by curved brackets with exposed joist ends. The ground floor has an early 19th-century sash window with side lights and vertical glazing bars. Doorways are located to the left and right of the ground floor window, with the left doorway converted into a window. On the first floor are two modern three-light casements with leaded panes, along with two smaller, possibly 17th-century, two-light windows in ovolo moulded frames with leaded panes. A large, modern gabled dormer window is present, featuring a leaded casement. The listed buildings in All Saints’ Street form a group.
