Description
No. 57 on All Saints Street is a building dating from around 1840 to 1850, designed in the Tudor style. It is constructed of red brick with painted stone dressings and features a tiled roof with gabled ends and a parapet. The center of the building projects slightly and has a high gable with moulded stone coping, a cornice, and a string course. The building is two storeys tall and has one window, which is a five-light wood mullion and transom casement with glazing bars, set in chamfered painted stone surrounds that include dripmoulds. On the ground floor, there are two 4-centred arch doorways to the left and right, also in chamfered painted stone surrounds with dripmoulds, and the doors have narrow vertical panels. A small stone shield is located in the gable. This building was originally the Headmaster's house for a local school situated in the garden off Tackleway. All the listed buildings in All Saints Street form a group.
