Description
Whitefriars is a house dating from around 1700, featuring early 19th-century gothic windows. It is constructed of stuccoed brick and has a tiled roof. The building has two gables at either end, a gabled projection at the front, and a central single gable at the rear. Notable architectural details include brick dentil eaves and quoin pilasters. The house is two storeys high with an attic.
At the front, the central projection has first and second-floor windows with shaped heads, and the sashes include glazing bars. The ground floor features ornate glazing bars at the head, and there is a circular attic window in the gable. On the right side, there are two first-floor windows with drip moulds, which are sashes with pointed-headed lights, while the ground floor has a modern glazed conservatory.
At the rear, there is a modern out-building on the ground floor with leaded-pane windows. To the north, there is an 18th-century two-storey wing that is also stuccoed, with a tiled roof and gable ends, brick dentil eaves, and two first-floor sashes with drip moulds.
