Description
Nos 76, 77, and 77A on High Street are early 19th-century buildings that were originally tile-hung but are now cement-rendered with a joint-lined finish. They rise three storeys with an attic and are two windows wide. The ground floor features an altered early 19th-century shop window with a cornice, now covered by a modern fascia board, and doorways at each end flanked by narrow fluted pilasters with plate glass. The first and second floors have sash windows with glazing bars set in moulded cases. On the first floor to the right, there is a segmental bowed window made of sashes. The buildings have moulded eaves and a tiled roof, which has partly been replaced with new interlocking tiles. There are also two flat-roofed dormers with sashes. All the listed buildings on High Street up to and including No 118 are part of a group.
